    California
    For A Reason

It's time for leadership that matches the scale of our challenges. Restoring the Golden State promise for every family.

    Matthew Chase Levy

"California is not just a place, it's a promise."

    California Landscape

    Our Moment

The California Dream isn't behind us. The best is yet to come.

For generations, California has been the land of opportunity—where innovation drives job creation, education flourishes, and the promise of affordable housing becomes a reality.

Matthew Chase Levy is running because he believes in what California can be: a place where every family can afford to stay, where our children get the education they deserve, and where we lead the world in clean energy and innovation. Not someday—starting now.

"I want everyone—especially young people and families—to feel like we want them to be here, and we will take care of them."

Matthew Chase Levy in San Francisco, California

"It's later than we think, but it's never too late."

    Meet Matthew

    A Builder, A Step Pop, A Californian

Matthew Chase Levy is an Oakland Step Pop, physicist, and builder who believes California’s greatest strength has always been its ability to turn bold ideas into real progress. His calling to public service did not come from politics, but from working inside the systems that decide whether innovation reaches people or gets stuck in theory.

For nearly two decades, Matthew has worked on problems where failure is not an option, from U.S. strategic security to frontier science and technology. Across those roles, he learned a simple lesson: trust comes from delivery. Ideas are easy. Execution is leadership.

He is running for Governor because he sees a flashing warning sign. California still invents the future, but it is losing its ability to build it. Matthew knows it is later than we think, but never too late to lead. He is not a professional politician, and that is the point. California can be both ambitious and functional, and he intends to prove it.

    What Matthew Stands For

Real solutions for real problems. A roadmap to restore the Golden State.

In a field of career politicians, Matthew is an Oaklander who brings something different to the table: executive experience building companies, scientific credentials and experience with AI and clean energy, and a focus on measurable results. He speaks in timelines and deliverables—not empty promises.

"I'm not running to perform—I'm running to deliver. Keep the lights on. Cut the bills. Build on time."

Cost of Living, Housing, and Everyday Affordability

"Affordable housing is California's greatest challenge. Public safety and building safer communities is also key. I will tackle this by building cheaper energy systems that make food and transportation more affordable, and by stopping scammers and fraudsters from taking advantage of people."

    Education and Job Pathways

"Starting with K-12, I will improve education by building a pipeline into the CSU and UC systems for all Californians. As a cornerstone of this vision, I will make community college free of tuition for every Californian."

    Innovation, Jobs, and Artificial Intelligence

"As founder of one of the first AI companies, I know the power and danger of AI firsthand. The state that invents the future must also govern it. The right policies will enable innovation in California first — and critically, create jobs."

Land Use, Environment, Water, Wildfire, and Practical Border Cooperation

"California's natural beauty is our greatest treasure. We must pursue sustainable land use, protect our environment, and ensure our borders serve the interests of all Californians through smart, humane policy."

    Clean Energy and Energy Security

"As a physicist, I grew up in a state that is now the world’s role model for energy and energy policy. Fusion is the way. No more blackouts, no more wildfires, no more rising costs of energy. No more excuses."

    Refusing to Govern Through Division

"I believe California cannot function if communities feel invisible, targeted, or pitted against one another. I have personally experienced bullying, harassment, and discrimination. Together, we will stop hate and build a state where every Californian belongs."
